During one of its presentations, the JKU laboratory showcased the Flex Picture Ebook project at the AATE 2025 event at European University Cyprus in Cyprus.
This year’s theme was “Technology for Inclusion and Participation for All: Recent Achievements and Future Directions.”
Roberta Zumiani (Abilnova), Enrica Polato (Robert Hollman Foundation) and Francesco Zambotti will be leading a workshop at the International Conference on the Quality of School and Social Integration, on November 14, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Rimini, Italy.
Their talk will focus on accessible books: strategies for inclusive education. (WS10)
They will address the main challenges to textbook accessibility and present practical strategies for overcoming them, drawing in particular on the results of the Flex Picture Ebook project.

From 2pm to 5pm, the publishing house Les Doigts Qui Rêvent, the IJA (Institut des Jeunes Aveugles) foundation and the Ludosens association (an association that supports people with invisible disabilities: ASD, ADHD, DYS, etc.) will present the Flex Picture Ebook project with demonstrations of how it works.
This conference will take place in Toulouse, at the Médiathèque José Cabanis (Small Auditorium – 3rd floor), 1, Allée Jacques Chaban-Delmas, and will be open to parents, teachers, educators, librarians, facilitators and support staff.

The Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU) will present the tools to publishers and answer participants’ questions on Wednesday 25 June 2025 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. via videoconference. The presentation will be in English, but will be simultaneously translated into French and Italian.

Priscilla Laulan from Ludosens will be presenting a “Step-by-step guide to helping a child with an autism spectrum disorder understand a text” for parents and professionals (teachers, librarians, publishers, etc.) from 2 pm to 3:30 pm.
Based on the text Émile veut une chauve-souris (Emile wants a bat), Priscilla Laulan will present 3 methods for accompanying adults or publishers, and answer your questions. The presentation will be given in French.
