Presentation of the Flex Picture Ebook project at the Institut National des Jeunes Sourds (INJS) (Paris)

As part of the preparatory working group for the ‘National Portal for Adapted and Accessible Publishing’ led by the INJA, Eva Dolowski and Aude Thomas, Les Doigts Qui Rêvent presented the deliverables of the Erasmus+ Flex Picture Ebook project for the promotion of illustrated digital books as a tool for more inclusive learning in the classroom:

• methodology for designing illustrations accessible to children with severe visual impairments,
• methodology to aid the comprehension of a text including implicit meanings,
• software to aid graphic design and digital developments and their tutorials,
• teaching guide.

LDQR completed this presentation in partnership with Nathalie Bedouin of the IJA in Toulouse with testimonies collected during field tests in France, Italy and Lithuania.
